Removal of the cut-off switch

This has been a safety feature of this van because it was used for school bus driving: an external switch where all the electric power could be switched off. This was very useful as an additional security device - nobody would be able to drive the van away if I switched this off and took the key away.

But it had problems: sometimes there was abad contact, and I was not able to start the vehicle. And also, when the switch was off, the radio settings had to be reset. So this was getting a pain.

Therefore I decided to remove this switch.

Now there is a hole in the front... but I do have always electric power, without any problems. 

Adding a Tow Bar

With the annual service (and MOT check) I decided to add a trailer tow bar. This would enable me to tow a small trailer or add my bicycle rack.

Gotthardpass - big snow!

In May there has been a lot of snow fall in Switzerland. As a consequence, the passes opened late. Gotthard did open on 30 May, but the road to the top was only open until 11:00. The reason: melting snow.

At the side of the road, there were high walls of snow.
